If you are a fan of Nintendo Switch, this news might catch your attention. Reportedly, Nintendo plans to sell 10 million units of the Nintendo Switch 2. But it does not end there, the new unit might not feature an OLED screen.

According to Omdia’s analyst Hiroshi Hayase and Bloomberg reporter Takashi Mochizuki, the new variant could feature an 8-inch LCD screen. Plus, the company also plans to produce 10 million units. Undoubtedly, this is a huge challenge. Even their rivals Sony and Microsoft experienced production issues due to chip shortages.

Furthermore, the Nintendo Switch 2 could likely exclude the OLED screen. However, it could be introduced in the future. To recap, the device will sport the Nvidia Tegra 239 chipset, 8GB RAM and 64GB storage. It could also support 1080p gameplay, Ray Tracing support and a 5nm or 8nm node-based processor.

We have yet to confirm other details or the Malaysia release date for the device. So, you might want to take this rumour with a grain of salt. As of now, we should wait for further confirmation from Nintendo.
