If you own a Nintendo Switch, a Switch Online plan can give you a lot of added value. Not only do you get online multiplayer for games but also a variety of games from older Nintendo consoles. In fact, that library of free games is about to be expanded.

According to Nintendo Life, Nintendo could be planning to add Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles to the Switch Online service. Sources have claimed that the company will be doing this soon, which means we might get an official announcement within 2021. Unfortunately, games of the Game Boy Advance are probably not going to be included.

Switch Online already has a library of free NES and Super NES games

For the last part, it seems that this is due to upcoming game remasters. Currently, there are a few companies that are working to re-release Game Boy Advance titles for the Nintendo Switch. In fact, Advance Wars 1 and 2 are making a comeback to the Switch on 3 December 2021 in the form of Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. It might take a few years, but we can see Nintendo eventually adding all its older games to Switch Online.

But are these old games enough for you? What else do you think the Switch Online platform should provide? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
