Last year we saw the announcement of the Nintendo Switch, which promises a new way of home console and portable gaming for the masses. At an event held in Tokyo and broadcasted throughout the world, Nintendo has revealed a bit more about the new portable from them, which will start from USD 299.99 (about RM 1330).
Firstly, there will be a couple of new colour options for the controllers, dubbed the Joy-Con. That is also revealed is that the controllers will have built-in accelerometers for motion sensing, an IRC camera for visual recognition, as well as NFC for interaction with Amiibo figurines.
There are 80 games in development from companies such as Nintendo, Sega, EA and Bethesda, and most titles will be available by the holiday season, a.k.a. Christmas 2017. The launch date for the Switch is March 3 in selected markets worldwide, and the new Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be one of the launch titles.
The pricing of the Nintendo Switch has been set at USD 299.99 (~RM 1330) and there will be two option packages – one with silver Joy-Cons and the other will be in Red and Blue. Malaysia availability is still unknown so stay tuned to TechNave for more information soon.
