Some games have been around for years and Super Mario Bros ranks as one of the oldest. The series has hit its 35th anniversary and Nintendo is celebrating with a new Mario title and ports of some older ones to the Nintendo Switch. Let's take a look at what Nintendo has in store for us below.
In its latest Nintendo Direct stream, the company announced that a new Mario game will be launching on 16 October 2020 for USD 100 (~RM415). Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit may be an expensive game, but you'll get a remote control toy car that can sync up to your Nintendo Switch, allowing you to turn your environment into a customisable AR (augmented reality) race track. From the looks of it, you'll be able to choose between a toy car with Mario or Luigi in it.
Another new game that will exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members is the Super Mario Bros. 35. This is a rather unique multiplayer game, where 35 players compete to see who becomes the last Mario standing. Besides that, Nintendo will also be porting Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, and the classic Super Mario All-Stars to the Nintendo Switch. Note that the latter is also available only to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
I have to say, while Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit seems like an expensive game, it could be interesting if you can buy the AR-enabled toy cars separately. Perhaps all you need is just one person to own the game for a coop session? Let us know what you think about this in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news like this.
