Although Nintendo has officially stated that it's not planning to launch any Pro variant of the Switch, the rumours about the more powerful hybrid gaming console are still going strong. Now, a new one claims that the Japanese video game company could eventually launch the Switch Pro towards the end of the year.
According to Pixelpar from Twitter, the Switch Pro will also include support for current cartridges and improved performance but retain the same design language as the original Switch. Improved performance refers to 4K output when docked, more RAM, and probably a new Nvidia Tegra chipset. Despite keeping the same form factor, it's still expected to feature a larger display.
Welp. Tried to keep away from these types of rumours for so long, but way too much smoke now.

It looks like a new model could be announced towards the end of the year.
Apparently works with current carts, improved perf, retains branding & form factor.
No more info than that.
If the rumour was accurate, we could see the console by September 2022. It's worth mentioning that the source of this leak had accurately predicted the Splatoon 3 Switch OLED, so this might be worth trusting. However, we're here to remind you to take this with a grain of salt as Nintendo hasn't officially confirmed anything yet.
