Nintendo had earlier announced Switch Sports for its current hot-selling console to continue to legacy of Wii Sports. The new instalment will bring tennis, bowling, chambara, soccer, volleyball, and badminton. Besides these, it has also confirmed that a future update will include golf. However, it looks like those are not all the sports that the players will get.
According to a data miner, who goes by Wipeoutjack7 on Twitter, Nintendo will add at least two more sports to the game. It's not said without proof as a screenshot of lines of code that reference Dodgeball and Basketball is included in the post as well. Not only that, another data miner, ToyConGarageVR, was also able to locate the file with the codes.
Another interesting thing found while datamining Switch Sports, the game references both "Basketball" and "Dodgeball" alongside the other playable sports. Could very well just be scrapped content, but mayyybe a potential future update? pic.twitter.com/mJb4SbaYM4

The source mentions the codes could come from Nintendo Switch Sports online's play test held in February. While suggesting future updates for the game, they might also be merely referencing the sports that got scrapped earlier in development. Therefore, let's not put too much hope into this.
True or not, the Nintendo Switch Sports, coming on 29 April, is a game that will definitely bring us down memory lane. Stay tuned to TechNave.com for more gaming news.
