Nintendo has announced that it will no longer be supporting account logins or creations via Facebook and Twitter starting from 25 October 2022. Instead, users can only log in via their Nintendo account username and password or through their Apple or Google account.

Announced by Nintendo on its official North American website, the Japanese company also notified users that if they were asked to sign in again once the new policy is implemented, they can simply enter the email address and username associated with their Nintendo account to sign in. Moreover, if users have previously linked their Google or Apple accounts to their Nintendo accounts, both accounts can still be used for login.

Accordingly, since logins via Facebook and Twitter are discontinued, Nintendo has also removed the ability to post images to either social media platforms through the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS beginning 25 October too. This was announced by the company via another support page on its official website, though Nintendo didn’t mention whether this will affect the Nintendo Switch too.
