Some people love WhatsApp Web for its convenience, while some might be discouraged because of its QR feature. In one of its recent updates, the WhatsApp team have made it possible for the WhatsApp Web to be linked to your phone number for a better user experience.
Previously, users can only access WhatsApp Web by scanning the QR code on-screen. By using the “Link with Phone Number” feature, users can now use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones without signing out. This is a welcomed addition because you can now pick up your chats where you left off.
The steps are pretty simple, you will need to key in your phone number on WhatsApp Web to receive the one-time code. Then, simply enter the 8-digit code on the phone to enable device linking and voila! You are good to go.
As of now, this feature is only available for selected beta users. But the full update will be rolled out to more users in stages.
