We are almost there, only a few hours before the Apple iPhone 15 officially arrives. Rumours about the phone are spreading like wildfire and everyone is buzzing about it. However, a leak says the iPhone 15’s cable could retain its colour instead of a matching unit.

Last August, a few photos of fan-made Apple-made USB-C cables hit the internet. Apparently, these cables will have 5 colours to match the iPhone units and it could be the in-box freebies for the product. However, a reliable source says this rumour is false.

According to Majin Bu on X, the 1.5m braided and coloured cables are meant for the unreleased MacBooks. That is sensible because iPhone cables have always been 1m long. A longer cable would have been great, but it seems that won’t happen now. Bu also said that there will be braided cables for the iPhone 15. However, these cables only come in one colour-white.

However, Bu also posted a picture of coloured cables. The leaker is unsure what these cables are made for. Commenters also speculate these cables look like the ones that come as Mac accessories. We have yet to confirm other details on this matter and might have to wait a few hours for the real deal.
