Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, recently admitted that the social media platform has become increasingly complex. That's why one of the features that was first introduced in July 2024 will be discontinued. This feature is related to Notes. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, since July 2024, some users have been able to share Notes on Reels videos and also on shared photos or video grids. These Notes are also a little different in that they will be deleted after 3 days instead of the usual 24 hours. They are also semi-private in that users can change who sees these Notes. These Notes appear as stickers and also act as group messages between friends.

Additionally, this feature is not widely distributed and not widely used. As a result, Instagram will end support for semi-private Notes, which are deleted after 3 days. Regular Notes that appear in DMs and profiles will remain usable as usual.
