HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones today launched the latest member of the Nokia G-Series family in Malaysia, the Nokia G21, with a special pre-order price of only RM759 through Shopee. The official retail price of the device is RM799.
Claiming to have twice as many security updates than its competitors and a whopping 3-day battery life, the G21 comes in a brand new sleek design that doesn’t compromise on Nokia’s famous durability.
HMD Global has also promised regular updates to ensure the device's longevity, including 2 years of OS upgrades and 3 years of monthly security updates. In fact, the phone is an Android 12 ready device straight out of the box.
Built to be tough with a polycarbonate shell, the G21 features a 6.5-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a first for the Nokia G-series. However, the screen still retains a 720p+ resolution but this time around, it is capable to stream Netflix in HD, also a first for the Nokia G-series.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Unisoc T606, a 12nm chip that has two Cortex-A75 cores and six A55 cores. Its 5050mAh battery supports 18W fast charging and HMD Global claims that it can last up to 3 days, especially if you turn on the all-new Bespoke Super Battery Saver mode.
In terms of cameras, the G21 features a 60MP AF + 2MP Macro + 2MP FF Depth camera setup on its rear and an 8MP camera on its front. Furthermore, the G21's cameras also utilise AI imaging and come equipped with advanced low light imaging capabilities.
Completing its specs list are a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dual Nano SIM and a MicroSD hybrid slot that supports up to 512GB expandable storage as well as a fingerprint scanner on its side.
The G21 comes in either Nordic Blue or Dusk colours with only a 6GB + 128GB storage option available. The device can be pre-ordered on Shopee starting from today until 9 March 2022, which comes with free gifts and a special pre-order price of only RM759. From10 March onwards, the Nokia G21 will be available at participating Nokia mobile retail stores nationwide with a retail price of RM799.
