Nokia G42 5G accidentally leaked before launch, to feature SD480+ SoC and 90Hz display

HMD Global is set to release another Nokia midrange smartphone soon, though we don’t need to wait until launch to know its design and specs as they were accidentally revealed recently. Called the Nokia G42 5G, read on to find out more about the confirmed specs of the smartphone. 

As shared by SuomiMobiili which spotted the accidental leak, the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ processor paired with either 4 or 6GB of RAM. Storage-wise, there’s only a 128GB variant.

The display utilises a V-notch cutout which houses an 8MP selfie camera, which is complemented by a 50MP AI camera coupled with two 2MP cameras at its rear. The screen itself is a 6.56-inch 90Hz HD+ monitor protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 which has a peak brightness of 560 nits. 

Other confirmed specs include a 5000mAh battery which supports 20W fast charging, Bluetooth 5.1, Android 13 OS, 5G connectivity and colour options of either Meteor Grey or Lavender. The price and availability are yet to be revealed by HMD Global.
