Nokia might be bringing back their penta-camera phone with a 108MP ultrawide camera

At the Mobile World Congress last year, we saw one of the coolest looking smartphones which were the Nokia 9 PureView. It was also the first phone to showcase a Penta-camera module but HMD Global never brought it to Malaysia. Also, the phone was met with low reception due to poor camera scores but it seems that Nokia is bringing it back again with a new camera setup.

According to a tipster, he claimed that the new Nokia 9 PureView 9.3 will feature a 64MP main cam and a 108MP ultrawide lens as part of the setup. Besides that, the main camera will also have an Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS). As for the rest of the lenses, they will function as depth, macro and telephoto.

It's also reported that Nokia isn't planning to bring back the Light technology that was featured on the 9 PureView phone. We guess it might be a good move as DxOMark didn't give a high score for the phone, as many photo samples had inconsistent light exposure in outdoors and bokeh reproductions.

Of course, all of this information should be taken with a pinch of salt. But what do you think of a 108MP ultrawide sensor? That's pretty good on paper if you ask me. Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
