There are still a few more months until the iPhone 15 series is announced but if you can't wait, here are some rumoured news. According to a Hong Kong analyst, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could be launched with a 48MP primary camera this year.
For the longest time, the non-pro iPhone models have been using a 12MP camera sensor and plenty of Android phones have gone beyond that. That said, iPhones are still backed up by Apple's camera software to produce good photos. While 48MP cameras don't sound impressive, the analyst said the potential new camera could come with a new three-stacked sensor. This allows the devices to capture more light.
That sounds like great news but at the same time, the analyst also noted that the 48MP cameras may not make it to the non-pro iPhone 15 models due to supply chain delays. At the moment, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the only iPhone models to use a 48MP which can produce ProRAW photos.
Besides that, the analyst also reported that the iPhone 15 Pro models could remove solid-state buttons because of "design issues". Moreover, the devices may come with a titanium frame, up to 8GB of RAM, as well as finally integrating a USB C port. Well, all of these are just rumours so do take them with a pinch of salt.
