Wait, there are still people using horrible passwords? Short answer - Yes, the long answer? We don't really know what to say. That said, NordPass just compiled a list of the top 200 worst passwords of 2020 and also measuring the time it would take to unlock accounts.

Besides that, they also compared the 2020 list with last year's worst password ever, as well as spotting how some positions have changed slightly. Comparing between 2020 and 2019, it seems that the password "123456" and "123456789" are still there and have in fact claimed the top two spots (#butwhy #mindblown) for some reasons. Worst still, a total of 2.5 million users have or are using the 123456 password and it has been exposed about 23.5 million times.

Interestingly, there is a new hackable password in third place which is picture1. About 371,612 users have used it and it took 3 hours to crack it. While that may seem creative, but it's not really a safe password as it has been exposed up to 11,190 times. Research says that the majority of people like to use easy passwords for its convenience, but it's also very likely to get cracked as well.
