For a long time, even until now, the blue and green message bubble war is still a thing. However, the Nothing brand is about to change that by introducing Nothing Chats. That's right, this app lets you chat directly with someone on iMessage from your Nothing Phone (2).
In the Nothing Community, the spokesperson said Nothing Chats is a first-of-its-kind app developed in partnership with Sunbird. Through this collaboration, the messaging app will now allow you to message other iPhone users via blue bubbles on your Nothing Phone. That said, it only appears to work for users living in the US, Canada, UK and EU.
In addition, Nothing founder Carl Pei mentioned in the video above that at the moment, Nothing Chats doesn't have any Read Receipts as well as Message Reactions and Replies yet (coming soon). Despite that, the app already has a few basic features like single messaging, group chats, live typing indicators, full-resolution media sharing and voice notes.
The Nothing Chat app is currently in beta mode and can be downloaded on the Google Play Store from Friday. Since it's not available in Malaysia yet, we just have to wait for the official news when Nothing decides to launch it.
