If you recall, Carl Pei was one of the OnePlus founders but left the company to start up his own called Nothing. After a few months, we learnt that his company's first product would be a pair of wireless earbuds known as Nothing Ear (1) and they are finally released. Here's what we know about the True Wireless Earbuds so far.

At first glance, the Ear (1) certainly looks like a futuristic earpiece with some transparency build going on. On the website, the reason why Nothing went for a partly transparent build is that the company wanted to highlight and celebrate the craftsmanship underneath. We have to say, you don't get to see this every day and it certainly catches attention.

Weighing at only 4.7g, it is powered by an 11.6mm speaker driver on each side with the sound designed by Teenage Engineering. Teenage Engineering is a Swedish consumer electronics company known for making audio products and usually for audiophiles so on paper, the Ear (1) should be good stuff.

Of course, the earpiece has Active Noise Cancellation but what's more impressive is having a battery life of up to 34 hours of music playback (with the charging case). On top of that, Nothing integrated Clear Voice Technology and three HD mics for better and clearer network calls. You can also use it for working out since it has an IPX4 rating for sweat and water splash resistance.

The Nothing Ear (1) is available for both Android and iOS but we have no clue if the Malaysian market is part of the first wave (or at all). But what do you think of this? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
