Nothing OS 1.5.3 update rolling out with faster app loading speeds, improved battery life & more

Good news for Nothing Phone (1) users - the Nothing brand just announced that the Nothing OS 1.5.3 update is rolling out now as we speak. The software update has already begun and will reach every Phone (1) user globally for the next few days. 

So what's new from the Nothing OS 1.5 update? According to the company, Nothing OS 1.5.3 will have faster app loading speeds and improved battery life as the highlights. Besides that, there will be new support for adding mobile game apps manually to Game Mode as well as smoother pop-up animations, improved fingerprint transition, new wallpapers and support for the upcoming Nothing Ear (2). 

In terms of faster app loading speeds, it's said that the software will update the memory management algorithm. It can reduce the app's restart time by over 35% as well as lowering the CPU consumption in improving the battery's life. On top of that, Nothing OS 1.5.3 brings several bug fixes which you can read below:

  • Fixed abnormal appearance of Night Light mode in certain scenarios
  • Fixed the flashing charging prompt on the AOD interface
  • Fixed an issue where Glyph lights did not show for incoming WhatsApp calls
  • Fixed freeze issues during YouTube video playback
  • Fixed an issue where weather data did not show in the Quick Look widget
  • Other general bug fixes
