Just late last night, the Nothing Phone (2) was officially revealed globally on YouTube. It will come to the Malaysian market soon too on the 14th of July, but here's everything you need to know about Nothing's newest flagship.
As confirmed by Carl Pei before, the Nothing Phone (2) features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset as well as a new Glyph Interface that was shown by MKBHD last week. Each LED lighting can be assigned for different sequences and notification types. Also, you get to do your own Glyph light rhythm and ringtones via Glyph Composer.
During the reveal, the Nothing Phone (2) is launching with NothingOS 2.0. Carl Pei is emphasising a lot on functional customisation so you can really do a lot of widgets for interactions and whatnot. NothingOS 2.0 lets you customise everything from app labels to grid design, to widget size and colour themes.
Moving on, you can find a 50MP sensor for both the main and ultrawide cameras on the back, whereas the front camera is 32MP. The Phone (2) supports Advance HDR, RAW file format, Night Mode, Motion Capture 2.0 as well as 2x Super-Res Zoom. For video recording, the main camera can record in 4K at 60FPS with an in-built EIS and OIS stabilisation.
Another confirmed feature before this was the 4700mAh battery. It's compatible with 45W wired charging, 15W Qi wireless charging as well as a 5W reverse charger for accessories like the Ear (2). On top of that, the Phone (2) also features a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED LTPO display with 1600 nits peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
The Nothing Phone (2) will have three variants - 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB with a starting price of $599. That's roughly around ~RM2785 after direct currency conversion. We will know the official prices for Malaysia soon after it launches on 14 July 2023 so stay tuned for that.
