Today, we got a nice good look at the Nothing Phone (2). It was revealed by MKBHD on his latest Dope Tech video on YouTube, but only with limited information since it's not officially launched yet.

The video shows that the Nothing Phone (2) looks very similar to its predecessor. There is a subtle change, which is a tiny red LED right on the top right and of course, the new grey colour scheme. The lighting glyph also looks a bit different when turned on with separated strips here and there, which has a total of 33 LED lighting zones.

The separated lighting strips aren't just for looking to be different but each has a function. For example, if you adjust the volume rockers, one of the LED strips will show you the level. Also, you can set a glyph timer and the LED strip will show you the countdown. MKBHD also noted that Uber and Zomato have partnered with Nothing for this function too, such as seeing the arrival of the LED.

On top of that, there's also a new Essential Notifications feature on the Nothing Phone (2). What this does is that you can set different notifications to different strips to let you know of incoming alerts without having to see the display. You can even set your own tone and customise how the glyph strips light up.

In terms of specifications, the Nothing Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a 4700mAh battery. You can watch the launch event livestream on 12 July at midnight sharp on nothing.tech or just wait for our news coverage.
