Nothing is launching its first mid-range device, the Phone (2a) on 5 March and has begun hyping up the release. Today, the company has confirmed the SoC of the device, which would come as no surprise to many.

Taking to its official X account, the tech start-up confirmed that the Phone (2a) will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC. Previously, many tipsters pointed to the device having the Dimensity 7200 SoC and not the Pro variant, thus they’re half correct.

The company was also considering the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and the Snapdragon 782G but opted for MediaTek’s Dimensity 7200 Pro instead because it is more powerful. This also marks the first device by Nothing to use a MediaTek chipset.

As for the rest of the specs and pricing, we just have to wait until 5 March. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news such as this.
