The Nothing Phone (1) has got to be one of the most hyped up devices in recent memory and the reception to the smartphone has been really impressive, given how Nothing is still technically a startup company. Now, if a new rumour is to be believed, Carl Pei and co may be set to release a ‘Lite’ version of the Phone (1) which would keep the same aesthetics but without the unique Glyph interface.

As reported by The Mobile Indian, the Lite version will be cheaper and may debut as early as this year. Furthermore, it will also utilise the same SoC from the Phone (1), which is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+.

The report also claimed that the device will deliver the same experience as the Phone (1) but without the lights at its back as well as wireless charging. However, other features will still be in tact, including the 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, 50MP dual-camera at its rear and the 16MP shooter at the front as well as the transparent back.

Do take this information with a grain of salt though as Nothing itself has denied the rumours, though the denial itself may be just a standard PR reply by the company. Well, we just have to wait and see for ourselves on whether a Phone (1) Lite - or maybe Phone (0.5? - is true or not.
