Just days after teasing the Ear (3), Nothing has officially lifted the curtain on the full design of its next-generation flagship earbuds. While keeping its signature transparent aesthetic, the company is introducing several upgrades in build, materials, and antenna design to boost durability and performance.

What’s New in Design and Materials

Ear (3) retains Nothing’s trademark transparent look but integrates metal components for added toughness and a premium feel. The case and earbuds use 100% anodised recycled aluminium, giving them a refined finish and retaining their design identity.

The earbuds’ design is now more ergonomic, with smoother curves, tighter tolerances between components, and an antenna reengineered to a flat finish. That metal antenna is impressively thin — just 0.35mm, which the company claims is near the industry limit.

Stronger Signal and New Features

The addition of the aluminium antenna isn’t just about looks — it’s meant to improve signal strength, and Nothing emphasises that the new engineering around materials and antennas is integral to better performance.

Also included in the Ear (3) is something called the Super Mic, though details are still sparse. According to Nothing, it's one of the features that bring something “completely new to the industry.”

What’s Coming and When to Expect Full Specs

Nothing Design Director Adam Bates states that with Ear (3), the focus has been refining engineering and the user experience, not just surface aesthetics. It’s designed to look different, feel elevated, and include functional improvements that will matter.

So mark your calendar: all technical specifications will be revealed on 18 September at 13:00 BST (8 PM in Malaysia on the same day). Stay tuned for our official news coverage only at TechNave.com.
