So this just happened, Nubia has just revealed the most powerful Nubia Z17 smartphone (for now) in China and the crazy rumour about featuring 8GB RAM wasn’t a joke. Anyway, now that it is official, we can have a closer look at the specification below:
- Snapdragon 835, clocked at 2.45GHz
- 6GB / 8GB of RAM
- 64GB / 128GB of ROM (expandable memory unavailable)
- 5.5-inch display in 1080p, Corning Gorilla Glass
- 23MP + 12MP camera sensors (f/1.8, 1.4um large pixel, 2x optical zoom and 10x dynamic zoom) / 16MP front camera (f/2.0, 80-degree wide angle lens)
- Features splashproof, NeoPower 3.0, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Fi+, fingerprint sensor
- Supports NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi ac
- Android 7.1 with Nubia UI 5.0
- 3200mAh battery
Not only is it rocking some high tech-specs, but the design looks sweet too with the bezel-less look. It’s said that Nubia has integrated a new aRC 3.0 (arc Refractive Conduction) that allows keeping the display’s thickness at the minimum, yet making it compact as much as possible. Ironically, even though there’s a home button at the front, the fingerprint sensor is located behind below the Nubia logo.
Charging speed is quite fast as it can reach 50% in 25 minutes, and thanks to the NeoPower 3.0, it optimizes the phone to last as long as it can. There’s another software called NeoVision 7.0, this one helps the user to choose the best camera performance in scenery, video recording and zoom-ins. It can even be used as a remote control for a camera with a special WiFi camera (we are assuming that they meant DSLR). Last but not least, selfie lovers would be glad to know there’s a new Portrait Mode 2.0 too.
Available in Black Gold, Black, Gold, Blue and Red. The phone will go on sale on 6 June in official Nubia store and JD.com in China. There will be three variants as well based on memory which are
- 6GB + 64GB 2799 Yuan (around RM1758)
- 6GB + 128GB 3399 Yuan (around RM2135)
- 8GB + 128GB variant 3999 Yuan (around RM2512)
