In Malaysia, most Android users go for brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, realme, etc. Nubia isn't one of the big brands here, but it makes great devices like its Red Magic series gaming smartphones. This time around, we have an interesting one with the Nubia Z40 Pro.

Earlier today, Nubia posted a new teaser on its Weibo page. What's interesting is that the post tags the Nubia Z40 Pro and mentions the word 'magnetic'. The teaser poster strongly hints at this being the first Android device to feature magnetic wireless charging. For your info, Apple is already doing this with its MagSafe chargers.

Besides magnetic wireless charging, the Nubia Z40 Pro is expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset and 16GB of RAM. In terms of cameras, its main camera is using a Sony IMX787 sensor that can deliver a focal length of 35mm. The phone will also come with an aerospace-grade heatsink, which should prevent the chipset from thermal throttling.

As for the launch date, Nubia will be unveiling its Nubia Red Magic 7 tomorrow at 3:00 pm local time. If that's the cause, there's a chance that the Nubia Z40 series could also make an appearance.
