Nubia Z60 Ultra release - SD 8 Gen 3, 35mm main camera & up to 24GB RAM from ~RM2640

As we’ve reported previously, ZTE subsidiary Nubia today launched its latest flagship, the Nubia Z60 Ultra in China and globally. Packing some serious power and features not seen before in other smartphones, read on to find out more about the device. 

Under the hood, the Z60 Ultra is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. There’s also a massive 6000mAh battery with support for 80W charging via the USB-C port.

Display-wise, it sports a 6.8-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a peak brightness of 1500 nits which comes with its own display chip and an AI deep-sensing engine It’s completely full-screen too, as the device packs a 12MP under-display selfie camera. 

Speaking of cameras, the Z60 Ultra has a 50MP 1/1.49-inch IMX800 sensor and a 35mm f/1.6 optically-stabilised lens on top. The ultra-wide camera is an 18mm f/1.8 with autofocus and 3-level optical stabilisation, with the sensor being a 50MP 1/1.56-inch unit. Meanwhile, the zoom lens is an 85mm unit with OIS complemented by the 64MP 1/2.0-inch OmniVision OV64B imager.

Other notable specs include Android 14 via MyOS, an under-display fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating and colour options of either Black, Silver or Grey. In China, the Z60 Ultra is priced at CNY3999 or ~RM2640 for the base 12/256GB variant and goes all the way to CNY5999 or ~RM3961 for the top ranging 24GB/1TB configuration.
