OPPO A1 5G release: SD 695 SoC and 50MP main camera from ~RM1344

The OPPO A1 5G, a new mid-range OPPO smartphone was recently spotted on China Telecom’s official listing. While the device has not been officially announced by OPPO just yet, the listing pretty much revealed its key specs and price. 

Under the hood, the A1 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with either 8 or 12GB RAM and is offered in a singular 256GB option. Furthermore, the smartphone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery.

The smartphone sports a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. However, the listing didn’t mention the refresh rate of the panel. 

The display’s punch-hole cutout houses an 8MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, at the back, there’s a 50MP main + 2MP depth dual-camera setup. 

Other notable specs include Android 13 via ColorOS 13, an IR blaster at the top, a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity and colour options of either Cabernet Orange, Ocean Blue or Sandstone Black.

In China, the A1 5G is priced at CNY2099 or ~RM1344 for the 8/256GB model while the higher-end 12/256GB variant is CNY2299 or~RM1472. As of the time of writing, no information is available for the smartphone’s global availability.
