OPPO A2 Pro release - Dimensity 7050 SoC, 64MP main camera and 120Hz AMOLED from ~RM1162

OPPO has just released the OPPO A2 Pro in China, its latest mid-range offering. Sporting some competitive specs for the price, read on to find out more about the device. 

First up, the A2 Pro features a 6.72-inch curved 120Hz AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution. There’s also a fingerprint scanner underneath and at the top centre, there’s a punch-hole cutout which houses the 8MP selfie shooter.

Meanwhile, at the rear, there’s a circular camera module which houses a 64MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor and dual flash. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

There’s also a 5000mAh battery with 67 fast charging via the USB-C port. In China, OPPO is offering free battery replacement should the cell fall below 80 per cent capacity before four years.

Other notable specs include 5G connectivity, an IP54 rating, Android 13 via ColorOS 13.1, dual SIM and colour options of Vast Black, Desert Brown or Twilight. It is priced at CNY1799 or ~RM1162 in China for the 8/128GB variant and goes all the way to CNY2399 or ~RM1550 for the top range 12/512GB, with global availability yet to be announced.
