As we’ve reported previously, OPPO has released its latest mid-ranger in China, the OPPO A5 Pro 5G. Featuring some compelling specs for the price, read on to learn more. 

Under the hood, the A5 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Meanwhile, the battery is a 6000mAh cell which supports 80W charging via the USB-C port. 

Screen-wise, it’s a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED with an FHD+ resolution, 1200 nits peak brightness, an in-display fingerprint scanner and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 16MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with a secondary 2MP monochrome sensor. 

Other notable specs include Android 15 via ColorOS 15, “full-level waterproof 2.0” thanks to an IP66/68/69 rating, military-grade GJB150A-2009 certification and 360-degree drop resistance, 5G connectivity, NFC and colour options of either New Year Read, Rock Black, Quartz White or Sandstone Purple. In China, the A5 Pro 5G starts at CNY1999 or ~RM1224, with global availability yet to be announced.
