OPPO A5 and A5 Vitality Edition to launch on 18 March with up to 6500mAh battery

OPPO recently launched the OPPO A5 Pro in Malaysia and now, the company has announced that it’ll be launching two new variants of the series in China. Comprising the OPPO A5 and OPPO A5 Vitality Edition, read on to learn more.

Taking to its official Weibo account, OPPO announced that both devices will launch in China on 18 March at 2.30pm local time. Furthermore, several of their key specs were revealed, which coupled with info from the TENAA database, gives us a good gauge of the A5 and A5 Vitality Edition’s specs and features.

The A5 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC paired with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256/512GB storage. It also features a massive 6500mAh battery which supports 45W charging, a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED, a 50MP main camera and colour options of either black, blue or pink. 

Meanwhile, the A5 Vitality Edition is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with 8/12GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. Other specs include a 5800mAh battery which supports 45W charging, a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD, a 50MP main camera and colour options of either black, green or pink.
