OPPO A53 (2020) release: 90Hz display and 5,000mAh battery, starts from ~RM706
Interestingly, OPPO is bringing back a smartphone which they have launched five years ago. Today, the OPPO A53 has been announced again with a new design and tech specs that are up-to-date. Let's find out if the "remastered" version of OPPO A53 is what you want for a mid-range device!
The OPPO A53 (2020) packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It also sports a 6.5-inch HD+ panel with 1,600 x 720 pixels in resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Surprisingly, the display supports a 90Hz refresh rate as well which is rare for mid-range devices. Under the display, there will be a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast-charging.
For photography, the OPPO A53 (2020) has a triple-camera setup that brings a 16MP primary lens and a couple of other 2MP cameras. On the front, there is a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture being placed in a punch-hole cutout for selfies. Other than that, the device will also have a fingerprint sensor mounted at its back, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. For the software, the Oppo A53 will run ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10.
Although the new OPPO A53 comes with only 64GB of internal storage, it can still be expanded by up to 256GB with the help of an external SD card. For the price, it will be sold at 2,499,000 IDR (~RM706). It is also going to be available in two colour options including Electric Black and Fancy Blue.
