OPPO A5x 5G release - 6000mAh battery, Dimensity 6300 SoC and 120Hz LCD at ~RM695

OPPO has announced a new smartphone in its A5 series in India, the OPPO A5x 5G. Featuring some compelling specs for the affordable price, read on to learn more. 

According to Business Standard, the device will be available for purchase in the country starting on 25 May via Amazon, Flipkart, OPPO Stores and selected mainline outlets. Under the hood, it’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, as well as a 6000mAh battery, which supports 45W charging via the USB-C port.

Meanwhile, the display is a 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD with a 720 x 1604p resolution, 1000 nits peak brightness and a 5MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 32MP shooter. 

Other notable specs include an IP65 rating, MIL-SSTD-810H certification, Android 15 via ColorOS 15, built-in AI tools, Splash Touch and Glove Touch and colour options of either Midnight Blue or Laser White. In India, the A5x 5G is priced at INR13999 or ~RM695, with global availability yet to be announced.
