Today, OPPO just announced a new phone for the Thailand market. Called the OPPO A77 5G, it seems that the phone will also make its way to Malaysia but no date was announced yet. But anyway, here's what you need to know.
As promoted on OPPO Malaysia's Facebook page, the A77 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset and a big 5000mAh battery. You can rely on the phone's fast charging technology as well, as it provides a respectable 33W SuperVOOC charging feature. Another highlight that the company promoted is the ultra-linear stereo speaker.
As for the rest of the tech specs, the A77 5G is sporting a 6.56-inch LCD with HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. You can find an 8MP front camera, which is odd because the previous model was a 16MP selfie snapper. On the other hand, there is a 48MP (main) + 2MP (depth) dual rear camera and it can take a 108MP photo through the camera's software pixel boost.
It's also noted that the A77 has IPX4 water resistance, scratch resistance, NFC and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Finally, there is a virtual RAM extender of up to 5GB, making it a total of 11GB of RAM if you choose to turn it on. There's only one variant of the phone, coming in 6GB + 128GB in either blue or black at the price of 9,999 Thai Baht (~RM1280).
