In case you missed the news over the long weekend, OPPO Malaysia just announced its latest OPPO A79 5G. Available in Dazzling Purple and Mystery Black, customers can now purchase the phone at the recommended retail price of RM1199.
In terms of tech specs, the new A79 5G features a respectable large 6.72-inch 90Hz Sunlight Display. Coupled with its fancy purple skin, the A79 5G is also IP54-rated and can withstand water splashes and dust. Moreover, the display has 680 nits peak brightness and supports 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution as well as 96% DCI-P3 colour gamut.
In addition, the A79 5G offers a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone also has RAM Expansion technology and a Dynamic Computing Engine that can intelligently schedule computing resources, boosting overall smoothness and stability in everyday scenarios, as well as keeping more apps running smoothly in the background.
On top of it, the A79 5G is equipped with a large 5000mAh battery that can be charged to 100% in about 74 minutes via 33W SUPERVOOC flash charge technology. You can also find a 50MP AI + 2MP Portrait dual rear camera setup and an 8MP selfie camera. The primary camera has a mode that lets you capture 108MP Ultra-Clear images.
