High refresh rate screens have been a trend for flagships for quite some time. Now, it looks like it is time for mid-range smartphones to get the feature as well. It has been found out that OPPO will soon launch the A92s, which is rumoured to be the first device to bring a 120Hz screen to the company’s A-series.

The OPPO A92s with a model number PDKM00 has passed through the benchmarking portal Geekbench, showing the performance of its MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor. According to the data, the device has scored a number of 2504 in the single-core test and 8130 in the multi-core test. The A92s was running on Android 10 OS with 8GB of RAM during the test.

Other than a 120Hz screen, the OPPO A92s will also be supporting 5G connectivity. The device will house a quad-camera setup at the back, including a 48 MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfie, there will be two front-facing cameras being placed in a pill-shaped cutout.

Back to the 120Hz refresh rate, it is said that the 120Hz might be referring to the touch sampling rate according to a poster leaked earlier. Therefore, we still need to wait until the official launch to find out what OPPO is going to offer with the new A92s. As for now, don’t forget the company is launching another new device for today too. You may log on to OPPO’s website and check out the OPPO Ace2’s live stream event.
