
After being in the rumour mills for a while, OPPO has finally unveiled it’s latest mid-range offering, the OPPO A97 5G. Launched in China today, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor paired with 12GB of RAM.
As reported by IT Home, at the device’s front, you are greeted with a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD screen. It has a resolution of 2408x1080px and a teardrop notch at its top middle to house the selfie camera.

Speaking of which, the A97 sports an 8MP selfie camera at the front and a 48MP + 2MP dual-camera system at its rear. Besides that, the device also has a 5000mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging.
Completing the specs list are a sole 256GB storage configuration, Android 12 via ColorOS 12, 5G connectivity, dual-SIM and microSD hybrid slot, USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The A97 comes in two colour options, black or blue and has a flat-frame design with a weight of only 188g.

The smartphone is available for pre-order in China starting today (11 July 2022) and will go on sale starting 15 July 2022 at 10am local time in the country. It is priced at CNY1999 or ~RM1322 in the region, with global availability not yet revealed by OPPO.
