OPPO today announced the launch of its second-generation foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N2. Featuring a unique aspect ratio, innovative hinge technology and decreased crease visibility, the device is the world’s lightest horizontally folding smartphone.

In a statement, OPPO said that the Find N2’s crease is 67 per cent narrower than its predecessor for a more immersive visual experience. Besides that, the hinge has also been improved, with the device sporting a miniaturised Flexion Hinge that has been strengthened to create a smaller, thinner, yet more robust mechanism.

As for the displays, the external screen features a 120Hz 6.54-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 2120 x 1080m pixels, a touch sampling rate of 480Hz and 1550 peak brightness.

As for the internal foldable display, it is a 7.1-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 9:8.4 aspect ratio and up to 1550 peak brightness as well. Moreover, the main display has been equipped with a new anti-reflection film that OPPO claims significantly improves the screen’s visibility.

In terms of imaging, the Find N2 has a 50MP main + 48MP ultra-wide + 32MP telephoto triple-camera setup that’s complimented by the MariSilicon X NPU. Furthermore, there are also several new modes such as FlexForm which enables multi-angle shooting while the device sits stationary on a surface, Waist-Level Framing and External Display Selfie.
