OPPO Malaysia has officially released the OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G in our country, its latest flagship in the premium Find X series. Unveiled during a live event today, the stand out feature of the device has got to be its 4K Ultra Night Video and Photography capabilities made possible by the company’s custom MariSilicon X Imaging NPU.
Based on a 6nm process, the MariSilicaon X is OPPO’s very own imaging NPU that delivers powerful AI computing power on a smartphone. It also has an advance AI noise reduction (AINR) algorithm.
Speaking of imaging prowess, the Find X5 Pro 5G has a triple-camera setup at its rear. Its main camera is a 50Mp IMX766 with a sensor size of 1/1.56-inch and a 2um large pixel size after binning. The ultra-wide camera is also 50MP, with a 13MP telephoto camera completing the rear setup.
The Find X5 Pro 5G also continues OPPO’s collaboration with Hasselblad, whereby the cameras are colour calibrated by the latter. Moreover, the device will also sport the first-of-its-kind SLR Level Five-axis OIS system that counters hand movements, reduces noise and sharpens scenes.
At its front, the device features 32MP selfie camera which according to OPPO can show more texture and accurate colour even under challenging light condition. The company said that it worked with Sony to customise the IMX766 sensor for better performance on the device.
Under the hood, the Find X5 Pro 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 paired alongside 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS3.1 storage. It sports a 6.7-inch LTPO 120Hz AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a 240Hz touch sampling rate.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery which supports OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging technology. It also has a 10W reverse wireless charging capabilities.
As for built quality, OPPO said that the Find X5 Pro 5G embodies the premium feel with its ultra-hard true ceramic back. The device available in both Ceramic White and Glaze Black.
Completing the specs list are IP68 water and dust resistant rating, an under-display fingerprint sensor and Bluetooth 5.2. Out of the box, it will run Android 12 via ColorOS 12.1.
OPPO has priced the Find X5 Pro 5G at RM4999 in Malaysia. Furthermore, from now until 27 May 2022, you can pre-order the device and be entitled to receive freebies worth up to RM1397.
