The iPhone 14 Pro was the first to feature Dynamic Island (image from Apple)
As the saying goes, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness. Many consider iPhones great and thus worthy of imitation. Philosophy aside, it means we often see brands copy iPhone features. This time, it's OPPO Find X8 with the Dynamic Island.
Yesterday, Digital Chat Station posted a leaked photo of the upcoming OPPO Find X8. It doesn't show us the whole device, but we got to see the front. The bezels are pretty even, and there's a punch hole for the front camera on the top. What's interesting is the OPPO Find X8 has the Dynamic Island feature, first introduced in iPhones with iOS 16 in 2022.
If you're unaware, Dynamic Island is a feature that adds a bit of style to the notch or punch-hole area of the display. It's usually in a pill shape and is typically used to display information like incoming calls, battery alerts, music playback timers, and more. Depending on the phone's software and user interface, Dynamic Island could display various useful info without taking up the entire screen.
What the OPPO Find X8 can do with the Dynamic Island remains to be seen. But we'll find out once the phone launches in (likely) a few weeks. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
