Last night, OPPO officially unveiled its latest flagship, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, positioning it as a true camera replacement with a major leap in mobile imaging hardware and computational photography. Since it's been launched globally, we have all the details for the Malaysian market.
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra's New Hasselblad Camera System
At the core of the device is a next-generation Hasselblad Master Camera System, featuring five rear cameras. The headline feature is the world’s first 50MP 10x optical telephoto camera, capable of delivering true 10x optical zoom and up to 20x optical quality zoom. This is made possible by a new quintuple prism periscope structure that folds light multiple times, allowing a long zoom lens to fit within a smartphone form factor while reducing module size.
The system also includes dual 200MP cameras. The main camera uses a large Sony LYTIA 901 sensor with an f1.5 aperture for strong low-light performance, while the 3x telephoto features one of the largest sensors in its class and doubles as a macro lens with a close focusing distance. With its multi-camera setup and optical quality cropping, the Find X9 Ultra supports a wide focal range from 14mm ultra wide to 460mm telephoto. On the video front, the Find X9 Ultra supports 4K 60fps Dolby Vision recording with consistent zoom quality across a wide range. It also introduces 4K 120fps recording and 8K 30fps video capture, and for professional workflows, the device debuts O Log2 for improved dynamic range and colour grading, along with support for custom LUTs and ACES compatibility.
Hasselblad Master Mode and Pro Accessories
The device builds on OPPO’s collaboration with Hasselblad, offering a new Master Mode that prioritises natural image processing over aggressive smartphone enhancements. Users can shoot in high-resolution JPEG and RAW formats across multiple focal lengths, while also applying classic film simulations or custom presets for a personalised shooting style. OPPO is also introducing an optional Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit, which includes accessories like a camera-style case with physical controls and a 300mm teleconverter lens attachment for extended zoom capabilities.
Tech Specs and Features
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with advanced cooling to sustain performance during demanding tasks such as 8K recording. The phone features a 6.82-inch QHD Plus AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak HDR brightness of up to 3600 nits. Additionally, the Find X9 Ultra is equipped with a 7050mAh silicon carbon battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support.
Design-wise, the phone takes inspiration from the Hasselblad X2D camera, featuring a premium vegan leather finish and a distinctive camera module design. It is available in Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange, with the latter using aircraft-grade fibre materials. The device is also built with OPPO Armor Shield protection and carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for durability against water and dust.
The Find X9 Ultra runs on ColorOS 16, bringing a more refined and AI-driven user experience. Features include Live Space for streamlined notifications, AI Mind Space for organising on-screen content, and AI Mind Pilot, which coordinates multiple AI models for complex tasks. There is also an AI Menu Translation feature aimed at helping users understand foreign menus when travelling.
Price and Availability in Malaysia
The OPPO Find X9 Ultra is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 7 May 2026. The 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at RM6799, while the 16GB + 1TB model is priced at RM7799. Both variants are available in Tundra Umber and Canyon Orange.
