Last Friday, OPPO confirmed that its new K9 Pro smartphone would launch soon. This is a variant of the OPPO K9 launched in May and it may have its debut yesterday. Its specs and features were already revealed before, and now the full details and price were announced at the launch.

OPPO launched the OPPO K9 Pro at its virtual launch event yesterday. The new Pro model features the Dimensity 1200 chipset, making it notably more powerful than the OPPO K9. It's available in two configurations - one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, plus another with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The battery is larger at 4500mAh (vs 4300mAh), but the fast charging speed was reduced from 65W to 60W.

There are also some changes to the screen and cameras. Although the size is the same, the OPPO K9 Pro's display has a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the front camera was downgraded from 32MP to 16MP. Besides those, the new model will have a liquid-cooled vapour chamber, virtual surround audio, and haptic feedback.

The 8GB+128GB OPPO K9 Pro retails for 1999 yuan (~RM1423), while the other one (12GB+256GB) is priced at 2699 yuan (~RM1746). We don't know if the phone will launch here, but we'll keep an eye out for any updates on that. In the meantime, stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
