OPPO Pad 2 release: 11.61-inch 144Hz LCD, Dimensity 9000 SoC and 9510mAh battery from ~RM1951

After being in the rumour mills for several months, OPPO has finally launched its latest flagship tablet today, the OPPO Pad 2. Equipped with some impressive specs and a rather bold design, read on below to find out more about the device. 

According to the official OPPO Weibo account, the Pad 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset under the hood paired with either 8 or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The tablet is also offered in either 256 or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

As for the display, the Pad 2 sports an 11.61-inch 144Hz LCD with a resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels. The panel features a 10-bit colour depth, 97.4 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut and up to 500 nits maximum brightness. 

The display also obtained TÜV Rheinland hardware-level low blue light certification as well as supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision. Furthermore, it supports the OPPO Pencil with an upgraded 2ms delay, 240Hz sampling rate, 4096 levels of pressure perception and 0 to 60-degree side edge writing.

In terms of battery, the Pad 2 is equipped with a 9510mAh cell with support for 67W fast charging via the USB-C port. OPPO claims that you can fully charge the device from zero in 80 minutes. 

The tablet also features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie shooter at the front. Other notable specs include ColorOS for Pad 13.1, Dolby Audio decoding, Dolby Vision, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, OPPO smart touch keyboard support and 5G dual-card communication sharing. 

In China, the Pad 2 is priced at CNY2999 or ~RM1951 for the 8/256GB variant. Meanwhile, the 12/256GB configuration is priced at CNY3399 or ~RM2212 and the 12/512GB variant at CNY3999 or ~RM2602 respectively.
