OPPO is set to launch the OPPO Reno 13 series in China soon, with a global release expected to follow. But before all that, we already have some info on the two new devices to the series - the OPPO Reno 13 and OPPO Reno 13 Pro. Here are some new details about the Pro model.
Previously, sources confirmed that the OPPO Reno 13 Pro will sport a Dimensity 8350 chipset. The tipster Digital Chat Station has also claimed that the phone will have 50W wireless charging, dual speakers, IP69 resistance, and a 50MP telephoto camera. The telephoto camera will use the Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor, with a focal length of 85mm and f/2.8 aperture.
Besides the camera hardware, the OPPO Reno 13 Pro will have features from Hasselblad. Two features include a "photo frame" (likely referring to image filters) and the shutter sound. The phone will also have a "self-developed network grabbing" X1 chip. Since generative AI for smartphones is big in 2024, this could be an AI chip for superior on-device genAI.

Lastly, the tipster also revealed some prices for both models. The 12GB+256GB variant of the OPPO Reno 13 will retail in China for 2799 yuan (~RM1726), while the 16GB+512GB variant of the OPPO Reno 13 Pro will cost 4099 yuan (~RM2528).
Will the OPPO Reno 13 series be worthwhile upgrades? We'll wait for the official launch to find out more. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
