OPPO Reno 2 series with up to 20x zoom, Snapdragon 730G, and VOOC 3.0 unveiled starting from ~RM1760

It’s you think 10x zoom is enough, OPPO just unveiled the OPPO Reno 2 series with up to 20x zoom starting from as low as INR29990(~RM1760) and INR36990(~RM2170) for the Reno 2Z and Reno 2 respectively. In addition to that, there is a third Reno variant but there is currently no information on that device yet.

In terms of the tech specs, the Reno 2 comes equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel. As for the cameras, the rear houses a 48MP (f/1.7, PDAF, OIS) + 13MP (f/2.4, telephoto, PDAF) + 8 MP (f/2.2, super wide-angle) + 2 MP (f/2.4, macro) quad-camera configuration while the front comes with a 16MP front-facing pop-up camera.

Lastly, the Reno 2 comes with a 4000mAh battery along with the VOOC 3.0 fast charge technology. Feature-wise, the Reno comes with the TouchBoost, FrameBoost and GameBoost which reduces the input delay of the touchscreen and improves the framerate while playing mobile games to make the experience smoother and more responsive.

The main selling point of the Reno 2 is its zooming capabilities, which allows it to achieve up to 5x lossless hybrid zoom and a maximum of up to 20x zoom. There is also the Ultra Dark Mode, Ultra Macro Mode, as well as the Ultra Steady Mode making the device suitable for taking videos and pictures for almost any occasion.

Other than that, there is also the cheaper Reno 2Z and Reno 2F which comes fitted with a MediaTek P90 chipset with up to 256GB ROM and MediaTek P70 with 128GB ROM respectively. Furthermore, both devices come with a 6.53-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, Quad camera rear, 8GB of RAM, and 4000mAh battery capacity.

On another note, OPPO also revealed the Enco Q1 wireless earbuds from INR7990(~RM468). As of now there is no official information regarding the Malaysia release date and price of the smartphones mentioned.
