OPPO has just unveiled the Reno 7 Z 5G in Thailand, a mid-range offering from the Chinese tech company to go alongside the Reno 7 5G and Reno 7 Pro 5G.
The successor to last year’s Reno 6 Z, the Reno 7 Z 5G offers competitive specs for its class, including 5G support and a capable triple camera system in which OPPO claims to be ‘The Portrait Expert’.
Furthermore, according to OPPO Thailand’s official website, the Reno 7 Z 5G is also switching from the MediaTek chipset in the Reno 6 Z to an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset that is coupled with an Adreno 619 GPU. Currently, only a 8GB + 128GB variant is on offer, although do note that it is capable of supporting expandable storage of up to 1TB.
The main focus of the Reno 7 Z 5G has got to be the triple camera setup at its rear which features 64MP (primary) + 2MP (monochrome) + 2MP (macro). At its front, the Reno 7 Z 5G has a 16MP shooter with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 79 degrees field of view.
As for the screen, it has a 6.43-inch AMOLED which features Full HD+ resolution, a standard 60Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. Completing the specs list of the Reno 7 Z 5G are a 4500 mAh battery that supports up to 33W fast charging, Dual SIM 5G support, Android 11 via ColorOS 12, NFC and of course, like many other mid-range phones, a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Currently, OPPO is only making the Reno 7 Z 5G available in Thailand and has not revealed its retail price just yet. However, if the price of last year’s Reno 6 Z is anything to go by, we believe that it would be priced somewhere around RM1600.
