The OPPO Reno Ace was launched in China yesterday and it is OPPO’s first smartphone that supports their brand new 65W fast charge. This is the fastest wired fast charge standard in the smartphone market today.

It is claimed that the OPPO Reno Ace’s 4000mAh battery capacity can be charged from low battery to full in just 30 minutes. 5 minutes of charge brings the battery charge from 0% to 27%. USB-PD and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge Protocols is responsible for the fast charging on the smartphone.

In terms of tech specs, the device features the Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 8GB/12GB RAM + 128GB/256GB UFS 3.0 internal storage, a 6.5 inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz, a 3.5mm headphone jack, in-display fingerprint reader and more. Speaking of the display, it comes with a waterdrop notch so we aren’t getting a full screen display like the other OPPO Reno devices.

As for the camera, the device comes with a 16MP selfie camera fitted into the waterdrop notch. On the back is a quad camera setup with 48MP (Sony IMX586) + 8MP (ultrawide, 116 degree FOV) + 13MP (telephoto with 5x hybrid zoom) + 2MP monochrome sensor.

Design-wise, the phone is available in 2 colours which are Psychedelic Purple and Starry Blue. The phone is priced at 3199 Yuan (~RM1886) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, 3399 Yuan (~RM2004) for the 8GB+256GB variant and 3799 Yuan (~RM2240) for the 12GB+256GB variant. If you’re a big fan of Gundam, the company has also announced the Gundam Edition of the device to mark their 40th anniversary but no release date or pricing has been mentioned.

So far, no Malaysia price or Malaysia release dates have been mentioned but we do hope this device does make it here to our shores. Would you get this phone for yourself? Stay tuned to TechNave.com to know when this phone hits Malaysia!
