OPPO Reno12 series release - Up to Dimensity 9200+ SoC, 80W charging and 50MP main cam from ~RM1755

After being in the rumour mills for a while, OPPO has finally released the OPPO Reno12 series in China. Comprising the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro, read on to learn more about both devices. 

The vanilla Reno12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 SoC paired with up to 16GB and 512GB storage and a 5000mAh battery with 80W charging support. The display is a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED with a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 50MP selfie shooter, which is complemented by the 50MP main (LYT600) + 8MP ultra-wide + 50MP telephoto triple-camera setup at the rear.

Meanwhile, the Reno12 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC paired with up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage and a 5000mAh battery with 80W charging support. The display and the camera setups in both the front and back of both devices are the same, the only difference being the Pro’s main camera is a higher-end IMX890 sensor. 

Other notable specs of both are AI features, an IP65 rating, an in-display optical fingerprint scanner, NFC, an IR blaster and stereo speakers for the Pro variant. In China, the Reno12 starts at CNY2700 or ~RM1755 and is offered in Millennium Silver, SOft Peach and Ebony Black.

Meanwhile, the Reno12 Pro starts at CNY3400 or ~RM2210 and is offered in Silver Fantasy Purple, Champagne Gold and Ebony Black. OPPO has yet to reveal global availability for the Reno12 series, so stay tuned to TechNave for the latest developments on this and for more trending tech news.
