If you had no idea that OPPO released some new wearables, we can't blame you as the spotlight was on Samsung last night. Anyway, the former unveiled a brand new OPPO Watch 3 and OPPO Watch 3 Pro in China. Here's what you need to know.

Prior to the launch, OPPO teased that the new smartwatches are the first to feature a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chipset by Qualcomm and that's what happened. Besides that, the vanilla OPPO Watch 3 has some differences from the pro variant. It's smaller with a 1.75-inch AMOLED screen with 3D glass on top and 430 x 372 pixels.

Sporting a 400mAh battery, OPPO said it takes an hour to fully charge and has a battery life of up to four days (or three days if LTE is constantly used). Turning on light mode can last up to ten days which is pretty impressive. Moreover, the Watch 3 sports 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, Bluetooth 5.0, as well as other cool functions like eSIM, NFC, 5ATM water resistance rating and GPS.

On the other hand, the Watch 3 Pro is bigger, measuring at 1.91-inches with the same screen but in LTPO. The battery is much bigger too at 550mAh, allowing up to five days of usage (or four with LTE) and up to 15 days in light mode. Aside from that, the specs are the same. This includes over 100 workout modes, 150 watch faces, monitoring functions (heart rate, blood oxygen, ECG and others) and even an air pressure sensor.

In terms of pricing, the OPPO Watch 3 starts from 1499 Yuan (~RM990) and the pro variant starts from 1899 Yuan (~RM1255). Will the new wearables come to Malaysia? It's a wild guess but we may not see them since the software platform is in China. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
