In OPPO's ongoing journey in pursuit of innovative technology, the company will be adding two new features for ColorOS 12 - Color Vision Enhancement and Battery Health Engine software. While there's no date release yet, here's what we know about the two new ColorOS 12 features.

The Color Vision Enhancement feature is quite straightforward, as it is a function that users with color vision impairment can utilise. OPPO said that this feature offers up to 766 display profiles and color-blind users can personalise their visual display accordingly. On the other hand, the Battery Health Engine was designed to increase the overall lifespan and health of the phone's battery.

According to OPPO, this technology is able to maintain the phone's battery at 80% even after up to 1600 charging and discharging cycles throughout its lifespan. The Battery Health Engine is compatible with the company's trademarked SuperVOOC flash-charging technology.

Last but not least, OPPO is also working towards sustainable technology with its 3R+1D principles. This includes reducing the weight of packaging, reusing recycled materials and using recyclable and biodegradable materials in its packaging. So far, the company has successfully:

  • Reduced the amount of packaging used for its smartphone products by 24%
  • Ensuring 45% of the packaging is made of recycled fibre.
  • Reduced by 95% for the overall plastic used in the packaging of its smartphone produces
