OPPO could be working on a new foldable Reno Flip phone that looks like this

One way or another, foldable smartphones will be a trend and a norm one day in the future. While Samsung is leading the way, OPPO is also experimenting their own take and just sent a patent design submission to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The document seems to be approved and published on 3 September 2020 and nobody really knows how is the development so far. However, what we do know is that OPPO is planning a clamshell foldable smartphone dubbed as the OPPO Reno Flip 5G. Should the company proceed with the design, it should look quite similar to the Motorola Razr (minus the exterior display) and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip but with a horizontal triple rear camera module.

Meanwhile, some folks from LetsGoDigital did some image rendering of the concept design and it looks gorgeous because of the bezel-less look. The foldable OPPO phone (in design) could be extremely thin and compact, alongside slightly curved sides and edges. It could be able to stand on its own when folded from what you see from the images there and there's a cutout front camera on the top middle front display.

Of course, all of these are just based on the concept design which OPPO has yet to unveil, so do take them with a pinch of salt. What do you think of the design, though? Yay or nay? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
